1. Who this policy covers
“JDN Labs” refers to the operator of this website and the person carrying on activities under the JDN Labs name in Malaysia. This policy applies to the JDN Labs website, enquiry submissions, direct communications resulting from enquiries, and associated website administration and security.
Third-party websites and services have their own privacy practices. This policy does not control how they handle information.
2. Information that may be collected
When you submit an enquiry, JDN Labs may collect your full name, business name, work email, WhatsApp or phone number, website or social-media link, project or service interest, business workflow information, project requirements, budget range, timeline, free-text information and consent confirmation.
The website and its infrastructure may also process technical information such as an IP address, browser type, device information, approximate location derived from IP where generated, request timestamps, referring page, server and error logs, security signals, spam-prevention information, submission timing, and information you voluntarily provide in messages.
Please do not submit unnecessary sensitive personal data, passwords, confidential credentials, health information, financial-account information or trade secrets through the general enquiry form.
3. How information is collected
Information may be collected when you:
- submit information through the website enquiry form;
- communicate by email or WhatsApp after an enquiry;
- use the website, which generates technical and security data; or
- choose to visit or communicate through Instagram, which is governed by Meta’s own systems and policies.
4. Why information is used
JDN Labs may use information to:
- receive and respond to enquiries and verify contact details;
- understand business requirements and assess project suitability;
- arrange discussions and prepare quotations, proposals or scopes;
- communicate about requested services;
- prevent spam, abuse and security incidents, and troubleshoot the website;
- maintain enquiry and business records;
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims, and comply with applicable law.
JDN Labs does not use an enquiry as automatic consent to promotional marketing. Any future direct marketing will provide an appropriate opt-out mechanism.
5. Consent and required information
The enquiry form asks for consent to process the information submitted for the purpose of reviewing and responding to an enquiry. Some fields are required so JDN Labs can understand and respond to the request; optional information is voluntary. If required information is withheld, JDN Labs may be unable to respond or continue handling the enquiry.
Consent may be withdrawn where applicable. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal and may prevent continued handling of the enquiry.
6. Disclosure and service providers
Information may be disclosed or made available to the following categories where reasonably necessary for the purposes above:
- Netlify for website hosting, infrastructure, logs and security;
- Resend for transmission of enquiry-notification emails;
- email service providers for receiving and storing communications;
- Instagram/Meta only when you choose to visit or communicate through Instagram;
- professional advisers, regulators or authorities where legally required; and
- prospective business successors where legally permitted and appropriately protected.
Third-party processors may process information on JDN Labs’ instructions or under their own applicable terms. JDN Labs does not claim direct control over every part of third-party infrastructure.
7. International processing
Service providers may process or store information outside Malaysia. Transfers will be handled subject to applicable Malaysian requirements. Reasonable contractual, technical or organisational safeguards may be used where appropriate, but no absolute guarantee is made about overseas legal regimes.
8. Security
JDN Labs uses reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures intended to protect information. Depending on the context, these may include limited access, environment-variable protection, HTTPS, provider access controls, spam controls, minimisation of collected data and account authentication.
No internet transmission, cloud service or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Retention
Unsuccessful or general enquiries are ordinarily retained for up to six months after the last meaningful communication. Information may be deleted or anonymised earlier when no longer needed.
This ordinary period does not apply where information must be kept longer for a legal obligation, an active or reasonably anticipated dispute, or a fraud or security investigation. In those cases, information is retained only for as long as the specific obligation, dispute or investigation reasonably requires.
Client records are also governed by applicable client agreements and legal requirements. Retention periods describe an operating target, not an automated deletion mechanism; JDN Labs does not promise that deletion after the ordinary period is automatic or immediate across every system.
10. Accuracy, rights and complaints
Please notify JDN Labs if information you submitted is incorrect or changes. Subject to applicable Malaysian law, you may be able to request access to or correction of personal data, withdraw consent, object to or stop direct marketing, request deletion where legally available, ask for information about processing, request data portability where applicable, or lodge a complaint with the relevant Malaysian personal-data authority.
Requests may require identity verification and may be restricted where permitted by law. To make a privacy request, email jaydonloo131@gmail.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line and identify the request you are making.
11. Suspected data breaches
JDN Labs will investigate suspected personal-data breaches and take reasonable containment, remediation and notification steps where required under applicable Malaysian law. Not every security incident will require individual notification.
12. Minors, external links and changes
This website is intended primarily for business users and people capable of making business enquiries. A minor should use the website only with appropriate parent, guardian or authorised adult involvement. JDN Labs does not knowingly request children’s data.
